Dr. E.G. Gerrits

Focus: cardiovascular risk in high-risk patients, hypertension, lipid disorders and diabetes mellitus. Dr. Gerrits from 2013 has been working at the Maastricht Cardiovascular Center as vascular medicine and general internal medicine and general internal medicine in the Department of the Maastricht University Medical Centre. Dr. Gerrits studied medicine at the University of Antwerp in Belgium. The internal medicine training they did in the North-East region in the Netherlands Isala Clinics, Zwolle, and the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG). Differentiation vascular medicine was also followed in the UMCG. In 2013 she obtained her doctorate at the University of Groningen, in a collaboration with the Diabetes Research Isala Clinics, Zwolle, on the topic: "Cardiovascular risk and notes determinants in high risk patients". In the same year she completed her studies and was registered as an internist-vascular health. Her areas of interest are cardiovascular risk in high-risk patients, hypertension, lipid disorders and diabetes mellitus.
